NSU's Approval Status for the state of Hawaii

Online Programs: All eNSU degree programs are authorized.

Northwestern State University is authorized to enroll students from this state because the university participates in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).

SB1382 (signed into law on June 19, 2012 as Act 132): Requests that the auditor recommend how the state can comply with U.S. Department of Education regulatory requirements for state authorization of postsecondary institutions.  
Update (2014):  Hawaii establishes the Hawaii Post-secondary Education Authorization Program.  It clearly states on their website exactly what types of schools are exempt and what constitutes physical presence.  Northwestern State University is exempt and does not trigger physical presence in Hawaii.
